As if by fate, Kubli, inspired by a turret that she saw on the home’s original drawings, felt a need to embellish the interiors with a European feel &mdash a design that fused perfectly with the wife’s French background. Using hues of taupe, champagne, cream, truffle, chocolate and cognac, the designer shaped a polished palette of luxurious finishes and Art Deco elements, resulting in a sophisticated, classical-modern style that seemed destined for these owners. “When we first looked at the house I was immediately drawn to its understated European elegance,” says Martine, who had lived in Paris until she was eight. “Eloise was instrumental in its vision and so it was natural to have her guide us through the rest of the journey.”continued
